Your local professional football club

The New Saints FC

The Venue is the home of The New Saints FC, your local professional football club playing in the Principality Welsh Premier League.

A merger between the former Oswestry Town and Llansantffraid FC clubs, The New Saints are one of the leading sides in Wales, having won the domestic league title four times in the new millennium and represented the country in Europe on no less than 11 occasions.
The Saints played Manchester City in the 2003/4 Uefa Cup and Liverpool in the 2005/6 Champions League. Several thousand fans followed the side to Anfield for the first leg and there was a large crowd at Wrexham for the return game.
The New Saints offers the opportunity for boys and girls from the age of six to receive professional coaching and participate in football activities at The Venue.
There are also Scholarship Schemes for both sexes in conjunction with Walford & North Shropshire College.
Hundreds of promising local footballers are also coached in the club's highly-successful academy programme.
